Nearly everyone has a camera these days - most mobile phones come with them, after all.

But owning a camera doesn't make you a photographer, however. The art of photography involves much more than technical knowledge. Of course, a good photographer needs to come armed with the camera, lenses and lights needed to do the job. But the experience required to plan and produce stunning shots is something that can only be learned over time. And the work doesn't stop after the shutter has closed - most images can benefit from a little processing afterwards using digital tools like Adobe Photoshop.

Happily, all this comes easily to Steve, our freelance photographer. He is an extremely talented young man who's snapped pretty much everything - landscapes, landmarks, portraits, sporting events and so on. He's even used to taking pictures under fire, as he learned his craft as an Army trade photographer and has worked in many hostile environments.
