New computer - data transfer
You call and tell us you've just got a new computer (perhaps you've just bought one of ours!) and you'd like to recover all of the old documents, music, photos, e-mails, bookmarks and other settings that you had on your previous computer.
This is the kind of issue we're only too glad to help with. We appreciate that people often have PCs for many years, and when the time comes to replace them there is often a huge amount of data that they would like transferring onto the new computer.
This kind of job can either be done on or off-site: it's up to you. Ideally, however, on-site is better so that we can confirm with you that we've got all the data you need.
If the job is to be done off-site, you would need to provide both the old and the new PC and a list of all the things from the old PC that you would like recovering.
Data transfer can take some time, dependent on the amount of data to be recovered, and the complexity of the data involved. Two hours is usually typical for this nature of work.
